Bay Area Stem Cell Club
The BASCC arose from a smaller group of UCSF and Stanford stem cell scientists, and has been organized to promote interactions, collaborations, and scientific exchange among a broader group of stem cell scientists in the Bay Area. The meeting is structured to include a two-hour scientific event followed by a social hour for informal interaction. Each session will consist of four 20 minute presentations by students or postdocs with 5 minutes afterwards for discussion.
BASCC meetings are a good opportunity for various institutional educations in the Bay Area to come together and hear about the different types of research projects going on in the stem cell field, and typically occur every 2-3 months.
